One of the greats privilege's of being (or curses) a GM is that of giving out Daily Deviations to the worthy. I encourage you to send your suggestions to me, but please read and follow these guidelines

Check that the deviant who's work you're suggesting hasn't had a DD in the last three months.
Send a thumb of the picture you want to suggest in a note.
Try to include an explanation of why you think that deviation should be featured.
Give your note the subject line DD Suggestion.
I might not reply too all notes, but I do read every single one.



How to suggest a Glamour Photography DD
Send me a note with a thumb of the picture you're like to suggest (you can copy the :thumb code on the deviation page and paste into your note), with DD Suggestion as the subject (clearly labeled notes stop my brain from exploding). You don't absolutely have to explain why you think the picture should be featured, but it would be awesome if you took a few moments to tell me why you like it so much. Unless you ask otherwise, I most likely will use your words in the DD description and credit you as the suggester. Please check that the person who's work you're suggesting hasn't had a DD in the last three months (if you're not sure, note me anyway cause I always check this stuff). You can check by going to their gallery, clicking on Browse and then clicking on the (this person)'s Daily Deviations link at the bottom of the page. I may not reply to all suggestions, but I do read each and every one.

Im lazy, is there an easier way
yes there is, =Solitude12 made an awesome script for Greasemonkey
To use this script you need Firefox 2 or higher and the Greasemonkey
extension installed into it. Then you just have to install SuggestDD script.
This script basically does the hard work of finding the correct Gallery Director for you.

What sort of photos should I suggest?
Really damn cool ones! Although I encourage everyone to suggest DDs, please be selective in what you suggest and only note me about things that made your jaw drop (for whatever reason).

Can I only suggest work by unknown or new artists?
No. You can suggest work by new deviants, long-time deviants, members, subscribers, beta testers, seniors, staff...anyone. The length of time someone has been on dA, their member status and the amount of pageviews they have will never effect my choice for Daily Deviations.

Can I only suggest work with less than 100 favs?
No. A DD is a way for Gallery Moderators to show off a deviation that they love and share it with the community. It is not a prize, an award, a charitable offering or an equal opportunities initiative. Statistics do not make a piece of work or an artist any more or less deserving. Things do not stop being impressive or worth looking at because they're already popular. The number of favs and comments a deviation has will never effect my choice for Daily Deviations.

In before 'but thats not faaaaair!'
Preparing to complain about how new or unknown artists don't get a fair chance? Save it. Everyone starts off at dA in the same position - no deviations, no journals, no watchers. This place is what you make it, and you get out what you put in. Yes, mass-appeal subject matter can increase the amount of traffic going to people's galleries but one thing I've noticed here is that the more time you spend interacting on the site, the more friends you make and the better your dA experience will be. If you feel very strongly that you've found (or are) a talented unknown with awesome work, then suggest something of theirs (or yours) for a DD. I feature other people's work in my journal and you can too. So if you're one of those people who whines constantly about things not being fair, take a step back and do something productive to support the people you're complaining on behalf of.

Can I suggest my own work?
Yes, you can. If you're suggesting your own work you absolutely must take the time to explain why you think your work should be featured. Please don't send a new suggestion from your own gallery every week. If you're suggesting your own work, please suggest your best work. And don't worry, I won't say anywhere that you were the suggester as well as the photographer.

DD suggestions that dont make it...
Not all suggestions can make it to a DD. Hell its not even mathematically possible. Those that don't make it but are still a cut above the rest I hope to feature in my journal and reg news articles, either once a week (If I'm ambitious) or once a month. So we can all share in the best that Glamour Photography has to offer. If your suggestion does not make either, please dont take it personally.
