I like the idea of this shot, and the model is a beautiful girl, but I have something of a critique.

It seems like this photo is trying to do too many things at once, and thus truely accomplishing little. The hair is speaking one word, the sword and facial expression are speaking another, and the dress/background are speaking something else entirely.

My suggestion to you would be to try and unify her style, perhaps something completely deviant from the idea that the weapon suggests. For example, perhaps giving the model a more 'regal' and 'traditional' hair style would offset the anger that is insinuated by the sword. When you match that with the vaguely ferocious look this model is giving, you can get the idea that there really *is* a warrior within this princess. Another option would be to give the girl a darker wardrobe to match her unique hair. That, along with a darker background as well as the model's almost innocent look would really offset the 'warrior' appearance.

As for the photo quality itself, I enjoy it. Perfect focus and the lighting isn't bad either. I personally would use a single lamp with a lower angle to dramaticise the shading on her facial features, but for your intentions, this works well. As for the framing, I would put it just slightly off-center. As it stands, your image works, but could use some more assymmetry to throw off the plain whites and blacks.

Like I said before, not a bad photo, but it a few subject matter changes could do wonders for it.

I love the concept and the look in the model's eyes. But my eyes always go to the cut off part of the sword on the left of the picture. :S Highly distracting attention away from the rest of the picture.

Does she look too sweet or just waiting for a kill? ;) As always, this is a very unusual setup that actually works quite well. Feels to me like a punk girl, dressed from prom night, ready to kill... Or maybe I'm just very confused! ;)
